Being a third-generation baker, I had the dream to continue the high-quality baking tradition my family has set using the old-fashioned methods of baking with high-quality ingredients (sourced locally when possible) and giving a great customer experience.
After graduating from college, attending baking school and working in the family bakery for 13 years, my wife and I realized our dream of opening our own bakery. In 2001, we opened our doors, and the customers flocked to the De Pere location. After 3 years space was tight, so we opened another location in Suamico. My passion for baking the old-fashioned way has never wavered and we work relentlessly to give the best customer experience possible. My daughter, Brittni, and my son, Nathan, have joined the business as the fourth generation to keep our rich baking tradition strong for many years to come.
We have won over 100 awards for our baking and cake decorating. It is quite an honor to have won our last award, North American Kringle Competition Grand Champion. The only way that Uncle Mike’s Bake Shoppe is able to bake high-quality bakery and give a great customer experience is through our outstanding employees whom we are so lucky to have. They truly make Uncle Mike’s what it is today.
